Friendly Matches Against the Navy Teams

On Sunday, 24 February, we had the pleasure of hosting the Navy men’s and women’s teams for a friendly game, the second time we’ve had the opportunity to play both teams as part of our ongoing efforts to promote sports within our community.

It was an exciting day on and off the court, providing a fantastic opportunity for some of our junior players to take part in the friendly matches alongside our men’s and women’s teams. The experience allowed them to gain valuable exposure and learn from competing.

In the men’s match, the Navy team secured a 3-1 victory, while our women’s team triumphed over their Navy counterparts with a 3-1 win. The matches were competitive yet friendly, reflecting the true spirit of sportsmanship.

Many thanks to all our supporters, participants, and everyone who contributed to making the day a success.

We look forward to many more opportunities to engage, compete, and grow together on the court!

Community Spirit on Court: Phoenix Men Plays Portsmouth Afghan Team

Our Men’s team recently had the pleasure of playing a friendly match against the Portsmouth Afghan Men’s Volleyball Team.

It was not only an exciting game full of great rallies and competitive spirit, as both sides showcased skill, teamwork, and passion for volleyball, with plenty of moments that kept everyone on their toes.

Beyond the scores and sets, the real highlight was the sense of community, friendship, and mutual respect on and off the court.

We would like to extend a big thank you to the Portsmouth Afghan team for inviting and hosting us. Opportunities like this strengthen our mission to promote volleyball more widely across our community.

We’re looking forward to future friendlies and building on this great connection!
