Friendly Games vs. Royal Navy Women & Men’s Teams

Last Sunday (29th September), our Women’s and Men’s volleyball teams took on the Royal Navy in a thrilling set of friendly matches that showcased incredible skill, sportsmanship, and determination.

Both games provided a fantastic opportunity for our players to grow, including five of our U18 athletes who gained valuable experience on the court.

In the Women’s game, our team displayed great resilience, coming from behind to secure a hard-fought 3-2 sets victory. Their ability to stay focused and battle through challenging moments was inspiring, and the win was a testament to their dedication and teamwork.

The Men’s team faced tough competition and, despite their best efforts, were defeated 1-3 sets. However, their strong performance and persistence in each set showed the potential of the squad, and the match provided excellent lessons for future games.

We’d like to extend a huge thank you to our supporters, whose energy and enthusiasm fueled both teams throughout the day. Additionally, we appreciate the Royal Navy teams for their part in promoting volleyball in our community. Together, we continue to grow the sport and inspire the next generation of players.

Here’s to many more exciting games ahead!
